The Make It Room is based in Howe Green, Chelmsford at the home of Lynne Sharpe who specialises in textiles and runs workshops and courses in dressmaking and sewing, feltmaking, needlefelting, knitting, crochet, lampshade making, rag rugs, painted furniture and découpage.
Lynne was previously Resident Textile Artist at the Stables Visitor Centre at Hylands House in Chelmsford, but now works full time at The Make It Room. She has taught workshops there as well as at The Knit & Stitch Show, The Handmade Fair, RHS Hyde Hall, The Great British Sewing Bee Live and other venues throughout Essex, Suffolk, Cambridgeshire and Hertfordshire.
Jessica Sharpe has a BA in Fashion from Kingston University specialising in knitwear and she has been creating her own polymer clay beads for several years and has
published a book in 2014

Jessica works at Kingston University and runs her own knitwear company Folk and Folly - she can be seen at regular fairs in London

excellent materials. We want you to be delighted when you take your creation home at the end of your session. We will provide
full instructions in case you would like to make another!
Our classes are small to ensure you receive the tuition you require and we will always try to run a class whether we are fully booked or have one participant.
